CDP Presents: Helping Patients with PTSD-Related Nightmares

Originally presented 19 June 2019

Description: Although occasional bad dreams are not an uncommon occurrence, nightmares in the context of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) often have a significantly different presentation, with greater frequency, dream re-enactment behaviors, and more resultant distress and impairment.  This webinar will dive beyond the traditional view of nightmares as merely a symptom and explore the relationship between PTSD and nightmares. It will provide clinicians a way to conceptualize PTSD-related nightmares and an overview of the various assessment and treatment options available.
