Chickens & Eggs: Treatment Order in Cases of Co-Morbid PTSD and Insomnia​

Description: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and sleep problems go hand in hand; in fact, sleep problems are a symptom of PTSD. This webinar addressed potential approaches for clinicians to use when treating patients with co-morbid PTSD and Insomnia Disorder. Presenters were reviewed criteria and evidence-based treatments for PTSD and Insomnia Disorder, respectively. Participants were then explore the research literature on outcomes of these treatments and whether treatment of one disorder may improve symptoms of the other disorder. A panel discussion was considered in which order clinicians provided treatment, utilizing case examples to illuminate key considerations.
