Brian C. Kok, PhD

Brian received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University in 2019. His research interests include risk factors for the development and maintenance of mental health issues following military deployment, and has authored several articles and presentations on the topic. Brian has previously held research positions with Stanford Psychiatry, the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, and the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR). His clinical work centers on the treatment of PTSD and other post-deployment disorders in returning Veterans. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the Washington D.C. VA Medical Center and is currently a post-doctoral fellow with the VA Maryland Health Care System, specializing in Trauma/PTSD. He is a member of APA Division 19 (Military Psychology) and Division 18 (Psychologists in Public Service). In his spare time, he enjoys woodworking, froyo, and avoiding the outdoors.
