Christilene Whalen, M.Div., LCDR, CHC, USN
Chaplain Whalen has over 10 years of active duty service, 10 years of government service with the Department of Defense, and 20 years of pastoral ministry experience in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Chaplain Whalen received a Master of Divinity from Harvard University in 1999, publishing Daughters of Men: Sacrificed for the Good. LCDR Whalen completed Joint Program Military Education, Phase I in 2012, and the Chaplain Intermediate Leadership Course in 2016. Currently she is a resident in the Clinical Pastoral Education Program, Hampton Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center, VA.
