Lt Col Eric Meyer, MD, PhD

Lt Col Meyer is the Psychiatry Consultant to the US Air Force Surgeon General and Deputy Directory of Psychological Health. He is also a professor of Psychiatry, Neuroscience, and Military & Emergency Medicine at the Uniformed Services University (USUHS).  Dr. Meyer is a lead instructor and author for the Defense Institute for Medical Operation’s “Military Mental Health” and “Disaster Mental Health” courses, which he has delivered to coalition forces around the globe.  As part of this interest, he has also published extensively on military cultural competence.  Most recently his military cultural formulation interview was added to the DSM-5-TR.
