Lisa M French, Psy.D., Chief of Staff, Center for Deployment Psychology Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences


A subject-matter expert in suicidology and military psychology, Dr. French has trained hundreds of behavioral health providers worldwide on working with military-connected patients. Her work has focused on both population health-based suicide prevention interventions, as well as evidence-based treatment approaches for individuals with suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Dr. French has dedicated over 16 years to working with Service Members, Veterans and their families. She started her career as an active-duty Air Force psychologist working first hand with military-connected patients. She currently serves as the Chief of Staff of the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP). During her time at the CDP she has played an integral role in ensuring the provision of evidence-based training across the Department of Defense.
