Marjan G. Holloway, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Director, Suicide CPR Initiative Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences


Dr. Holloway has been nationally and internationally recognized for her work in military suicide prevention and intervention research. As a psychologist, she has developed a number of interventions and programs to care for individuals at risk for suicide. As one of the leading educators for the Department of Defense (DoD), Dr. Holloway has disseminated the Air Force Guide for Suicide Risk Assessment, Management, and Treatment – a guide mandated for use by all behavioral health providers within the Air Force. Most recently, she has served as the lead for the Special Operations Forces Chaplaincy Workbook for Suicide Prevention, Intervention, and Postvention. Since 2006, Dr. Holloway has served as a faculty member in the Department of Medical and Clinical Psychology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). She is currently the Director for the Suicide Care, Prevention, and Research Initiative at USUHS, supported by funding from various DoD partners.
